Outlouds’ Conference success

Outloud Productions were delighted to be asked to organise a fun day drama workshop for Fathers Direct.

60 children, ranging from 4 to 15 took part in a day long celebration of Fatherhood. The children were praised and applauded and encouraged to feel good about themselves.

They learnt to socialise, work with people of all ages and to value and mix with people they had never met before. There was a great feeling of warmth, affection and fun throughout the day, and the children left asking to come again.

With the emphasis on the importance of the family we operated an open door policy – parents were welcome to drop in from the Fathers Direct conference and watch the fun. Activities included making props, creating a storyline and song on the theme of 'Dads' and a style challenge to 'improve your Dad'.

The children joined their families for lunch and at the end of the day we put on a show for over 1000 people. The climax of the day involved the children performing a song they had written to celebrate their fathers.
