Help Yourself anti bullying campaign

Outloud Productions in partnership with Victims Support are working with children across Essex in Key stages 1, 2 and 3 to help them deal with the issues of bullying

Actors use puppets to perform scenarios which are both uncomfortable and thought provoking to watch.

At the end of each scene the facilitator works with the groups to encourage them to solve the issues - generating ideas for self help and making the children realise that they are not alone and can do something to stop the bullying.

Recent programmes such as Channel 4’s Celebrity Big Brother shows bullying is all around us and children need to be encouraged to build their self esteem so they feel powerful enough to say stop this is not acceptable rather than allow themselves to become victims.

Help Yourself is available by calling Outloud Productions on 07946 357 521 or emailing us at info@outloudproductions.co.uk

The Display Team at Westcliff have surpassed themselves again and created yet another stunning set for us - not content with a making a bedroom and a pink castle they have now built a brilliant brick wall for the puppets to sit on - check them out and see for your self.

“We loved it, thought it was brilliant. The best thing I’ve seen in 34 years of teaching”
Janet Whitfield, Janet Duke Junior School, Basildon, Essex

I am writing to you following the Anti-Bullying work you have done for me over the last 4 months. As 43.5% of all hate crime in this area is committed by under 25’s it is vital that we educate the growing generation and you have tackled a difficult topic with great courage.

The ‘Help Yourself’ show has been a great success in Thurrock and I would like to thank you and Victim Support for your support, flexibility and professionalism during this time, your ability to change everything at the last minute to suit the schools is invaluable. I really hope that we will be able to work together on another project in the future.
