The students from Outloud Productions drama classes put on their annual show this season:

  • At Highlands Church Hall, in Leigh on Sea, Essex : Fairies at the Bottom of the Garden, Scary Caterpillar, Dragon, Gateway to Atlantis
  • At Highlands Church Hall, in Leigh on Sea, Essex : Magical Circus, Caledonian Soldier, Gateway to Atlantis, Murder on the Goodrington Express, Footsteps in the Fog
  • At St James Church Hall, Elmsleigh Drive, Leigh on Sea in Essex : The Mummy's Curses, Norman Lockhart, The Phantom, The Lemon Sisters
           
   

Past Events:

  • The award ceremony at Highlands Church Hall this event has been sponsored by the Leigh Rotary Club, every one received an award. They will be presented by a well known local artist, a local theatrical agent, previous sponsor of Outloud EPCO and a member of the rotary club. Local press will be attending and we will be holding a raffle to help raise money towards the cost of a disabled toilet at Highlands . Entertainment and refreshment provided. The ceremony starts at 10:30 and will be finished by 12:30, please let me know if your child can not attend this prize giving. Parents are very welcome - this award ceremony is for all pupils from both Monday and Saturday classes.
  • 5 School workshops have been sponsored by a local Southend company IPECO . This allows us to offer a reduced rate to schools.
  • Oscars were such a success that the summer will see BAFTA awards for the pupils - The summer show has the umbrella title of Mysteries.
  • Don't forget to book  your school workshop for the new term - speaking and listening skills - Little Red Riding Hood visits Grammar's house.
  • Outloud completed a fantastic day long drama workshop for the Father's Direct conference at the Institute of Education in Bloomsbury, London...more
  • We welcome Emma Westall to the ever growing Outloud team!
  • The Pirate and the Princess panto - Captain Bad and his first mate Ben Fleet were back to win the heart but mainly the gold of a beautiful young princess – did the frog prince save her?
  • The day of Panto Pandemonium at the Pirates Workshop on Saturday 20th December was a rip roaring success! The final workshop for the year held as always at Highlands Methodist Church Hall in lovely Leigh on Sea in Essex.
  • Pirate Pandemonium - this pantomime has really gone down well, with performances in Surrey and Uxbridge as well as Southend, ASDA have sponsored us for the shows at Bournemouth Park School, providing the children with chocolate money from the pirates treasure chest.
  • 100% LAMDA Pass Rate - The term running up to Christmas was LAMDA exam term and we are pleased to say that a 100% pass rate in examinations in speech and drama, acting or public speaking was achieved again this year. The children excelled themselves with a majority of honours and distinction. Highest grade taken this year was grade 7 Verse and Prose received outstanding Honours.
  • In the Autumn to Winter period Outloud taught drama at Westleigh Infant School as part of their lunchtime activities.
  • We were in Cork, Southern Ireland the week beginning 14th October for some role-play for T.V. producers.
  • Sally directed and acted in the Murder mystery at Westleigh Infant School (teachers turn their hands to acting). Murder at the Café Marguerite.
  • In November we were in Kingston Upon Thames at the Corpus Christie School entertaining the infant school with a pantomime tailor-made for them, written and directed by Sally Lawrence.
