Outloud Productions at school

Because the ability to communicate effectively is essential to learning Outloud Productions specialise in developing individual drama workshops that enhance learning and communication in key areas of the national curriculum and beyond.

We stretch children's imaginations in all areas of the curriculum, not just English. Bring history to life, share the thrill of Henry VIII's Court or join Pandora as she opens the box, inspire children to develop their own plays and stories. Outloud Drama workshops deliver an inspirational learning experience for every child whatever stage they are at. We have experience of presenting educational drama workshops to children (and teachers) of all ages, including those with special needs.

We tailor workshops to your needs. Let us know what topics you are covering and we will produce an inspiring workshop your children will remember with joy.

Recent workshops include:

Schools news 2010

We’re looking forward to further work with Appleton Business and Enterprise and year 10’s as we use role play to show just how important their work experience is for their future, earlier in the year we worked with the year 10’s and 9’s on interview techniques for their upcoming work experience. We’re also looking forward to working with Southend High School for Girls on their enterprise days in June and helping them to improve their interview techniques.

"The Outloud sessions provide a stimulating and fun addition to our nursery and we have seen the children develop in many areas. Not only has their use of vocabulary extended and their conversation improved but also we have seen the children who attend become more confident and sociable. Parents have noticed a change in their children and we are over subscribed for classes as we enter our second year."
Kate Taylor

Children love Outloud Productions. We teach communication and life skills through the exciting media of drama. Each child is unique and we help them, whatever their ability or disability to realise their potential by teaching skills they need to succeed in the modern world in a happy nurturing environment.

We don't just do workshops for pupils and students. We also run an enormously successful story telling course for nursery nurses, parents, teachers and everyone working with children. Good story telling skills really bring a story to life and enchant listeners, giving them the best introduction to books and reading.

Outloud aims to help children and teenagers develop their social skills as well as build their confidence not only as individuals but also in their academic work. Through drama Outloud offers a stimulating workshop where children of all ages can stretch their imaginations and experiment with ideas for literacy.

Outloud encourages children to tackle issues they are uncertain of through role play in a safe and comfortable environment. Whether this is connected with literacy, numeracy or citizenship we believe that drama can unlock inhibitions and realise every child's potential.

Outloud Productions actively promote:

  • Emotional well being
  • Emotional intelligence
  • Healthy lifestyle
  • Staying safe
  • Being healthy
  • Positive behaviour
