Shakespeare workshops go down a treat – proving that Shakespeare is far from boring, using scenes from his plays that groups can get involved with and interpret in their own way – whether that’s with a modern take on the events or sticking to the period.

The students can really enjoy the bard and look at text with a greater understanding. The workshops look at the period and style along with the resources that Shakespeare used for reference. The students are actively involved throughout the session and take part in the productions of the scenes. The two minute plays they perform embed the storyline and help them to work in a team.

With props and costumes and lots of blood where necessary the workshop is always fun and complements the English and Drama curriculum
